Day 1
Check out of your hotel and jump on the train to your next fabulous destination – York! After arriving, check-in to your hotel so you can start your evening exploration.

Wake up with a cycling tour of York to show you its most iconic landmarks and locations with an expert guide leading the way! You’ll venture off the beaten track and see mesmerising places that you can’t on public transport. For two hours, you’ll get to discover more about York’s formidable history and learn of its hidden secrets and myths!

If you’re a non-cyclist, you can enjoy a trip to Whitby Abbey Clifford’s Tower, built for Henry III in the 13th century. Offering sensational views of York, it is an unmissable visit on your trip to the great city. Once you’re in the mood for learning, try out Whitby Abbey which inspired Bram Stoker’s world-famous tale of Dracula! Full of drama, history and gore, it’s the perfect accompaniment to your day’s adventure.

Why not take a trip to the incredible York Minster? Since the 7th century, the Minster has been at the centre of Christianity in the north of England and today remains a thriving church rooted in the daily offering of worship and prayer. The Minster was built for the glory of God. Every aspect of this ancient building - from the exquisite, handcrafted stone through to the unrivalled collection of medieval stained glass - tells the story of Jesus Christ.

No visit to York is complete without a trip to our famous Café Tea Rooms on St Helen’s Square. With beautiful interiors inspired by the Queen Mary ocean liner, it’s been making a splash since 1936.

Spend the afternoon of your Treasure Trove Tour at the Jorvik Viking Centre where you will explore the most famous and shocking discoveries of modern archaeology. These incredible discoveries enabled the centre to be built on the very site where the excavations had taken place, creating a groundbreaking visitor experience where you take a journey through the reconstruction of Viking-Age streets and experience life as it would have been in 10th century York.

Enjoy a showpiece ten barrel craft brewery and tap room, celebrating the best local ales. Brewery tours available or just a refreshing pint in the riverside garden. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, enjoy dinner at the Steak and Ale House, The Whippet. It’s not just the name that raises a few eyebrows but also their interior is known for its intrigue and fun. The Whippet Inn is a steak and ale house that aims to get the best food produce they can find in Yorkshire and pair it with real ales, lagers, spirits and wines from around the UK.

Day 2
The classic scenery of the National Park takes us deep into the Dales, you will travel through five of the famous Dales including Wensleydale, Swaledale and Wharfedale.

The tour includes a morning stop in the small market town of Masham, home of the warring breweries, and time for lunch at the village of Reeth in Swaledale.

Travelling through some of the best countryside in England we will stop to admire the views at the famous Aysgarth Falls, Bolton Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned, and the picture perfect village of Grassington.

This tour gives a great overview of the Yorkshire Dales all in a day and you’ll get to enjoy an overnight stay to maximise your time!
